Welcome to a peer support session for international queer students! This pop up session is especially created for you who want to share experiences, find support and talk to other like-minded students. The peer session is for all international LGBTQIA+ students from different cultures and backgrounds and will provide an opportunity to discuss their own experiences of queer identity and student life.

The first session is held on the 5th of November between 5 PM and 7 PM. The second will be on the 12th of November from 5 PM to 7 PM.

This session will provide a space for you to share your thoughts and hear about the experiences of other international LGBTQIA+ students. We all bring with us our own culture and different ways of dealing with sexuality, gender and communities – and that is what makes our stories unique. In this session you’re welcome to share your own thoughts, worries and wonders regarding studying in Finland, cultural differences, expressing LGBTQIA+ identity and queer life here and elsewhere.

The event is completely confidential and can be attended without prior knowledge or experience of peer support groups or sessions. The sessions follow Nyyti’s safer space guidelines.

Online peer support sessions are for the international LGBTQIA+ students in higher education. These pop up sessions are especially created for you who want to share experiences, find support and talk to other like-minded students. 

The peer session is for all international LGBTQIA+ students from different cultures and backgrounds and will provide an opportunity to discuss their own experiences of studying in Finland, queer life and identity-related thoughts with other queer international student.

Late participants will not be admitted after 10 minutes of the beginning due to condifentiality and safety of the group sessions. Please note this while registering for the sessions.
