The Eco-Crisis, Our Future and Mental Health Online Course

The Eco-Crisis, Our Future and Mental Health online course provides information on environmental emotions and strengthening mental health, as well as tools for dealing with environmental emotions, holding space for other people's environmental concerns, and increasing understanding between people who think differently. It contains plenty of practical ideas and exercises for strengthening well-being and ability to function at both the individual and community level.

The course and its materials are available to everyone free of charge, and it has been produced by The Eco-Crisis, Our Future and Mental Health project, a joint project of three mental health organisations.

The online course is especially aimed at higher education institutions as part of studies or to be completed independently. The course is suitable for all fields of study and is designed especially for the fields of sustainability and environmental studies, teaching, education, social and health care. Its scope is 1–2 credits, depending on the application. The online course can be used in a browser, or you can request the course or parts of it from us in file formats compatible with different learning platforms.

As the climate and sustainability crisis progresses, it is important for educational institutions to equip students with the skills they need in this day and age. Environmental and future emotions affect mental health, interaction between groups of people and the ability of society as a whole to respond to the sustainability crisis.
