Organize activities within your study community

On Students’ Mental Health Day, 25 April, we will act for mental health. We invite everyone to come up with ideas and small actions for increasing mental wellbeing within study communities around Finland. Everyone can organize activities – students and staff alike. The activities can be laid-back and POP UP style such as raising awareness about stress or taking a collective breather, for example. Imagination is your only limit when thinking up ideas.

If you post about your activities on social media, don’t forget to use the campaign hashtags #ruuhkakevät #opiskelijoidenmielenterveyspäivä

Tips for organizing activities can be found here.

When you know what you’re going to organize on Students’ Mental Health Day, let us know by using the accompanying form. This way you can help increase the visibility of all the things happening during the campaign all over Finland. This also gives visibility to your own activities. The registered events will be published on the campaign site, and you can browse them here.

Register your activity by filling out this form.

An evening class on wellbeing on 25 April 2019: #Ruuhkakevät – Uskalla olla kiireetön!

As part of the Students’ Mental Health Day, we will organize an evening class on wellbeing on Thursday 25 April 2019 from 5 to 8.30 pm, themed #Ruuhkakevät – Uskalla olla kiireetön! (#Springrush – Dare to let go of the rush!) The location will be Ohjauskulma at the Helsinki University library (Fabianinkatu 30, library lobby).

The event will be held in Finnish. During the event, we will hear about and discuss e.g. the following questions: Are rush and performance anxiety affecting your life? Could you chill out every once in a while? How can we recover and survive in the rushed everyday life of a student? Admission is free, and the event is open for everyone interested in the theme. The event is organized by Nyyti ry and the Finnish Central Association for Mental Health. We would like to warmly welcome you to the event!
